Ivy Books
Ivy Books is an independent UK publishing house for educational materials, practical guides and selected independent writing.
We publish original books developed across the Ivy family, and we take on work from independent writers whose ideas belong on the same shelf.

Latest from Ivy Books
A short shelf of recent titles, drawn from the list rather than the whole catalogue. More are added here as each edition is published.
The List
Two publishing areas at present. The store will be organised the same way, and further areas open only when there is enough good work to fill them.

Books, guides, workbooks and supporting materials designed to make learning clearer and more accessible.

Selected original work from independent writers whose ideas, stories or expertise fit the Ivy Books publishing programme.

The Imprint
Ivy Books is the publishing home for original books and materials developed within the wider Ivy group. Educational titles, guides and supporting literature are edited, produced and published here rather than through the platforms they were written for.
Having one imprint behind that work keeps the standards in one place, whichever part of the group a book comes from.
For Writers
We also work with independent writers looking for a thoughtful publishing home for their work.
Submissions are welcome and are considered on their merits. Each one is read and reviewed before anything is agreed, and we take on a small number of works at a time, so not every submission is accepted.
What We Look For
The work is yours, unpublished elsewhere, and written rather than assembled.
A finished manuscript, or a proposal clear enough to show where the work is going.
It teaches something worth knowing, or it says something in a voice worth reading.
It sits within the areas Ivy Books publishes, or close enough that we can see the shelf it belongs on.
The Route to Print
01
Send an outline, manuscript or proposal together with information about the work and its intended audience.
02
The Ivy Books team reviews the submission and determines whether it fits the publishing programme.
03
For accepted works, agree the editorial, production and publication approach.
04
The work is prepared for release and made available through Ivy Books and relevant distribution channels.
We welcome submissions from independent writers. Send us an introduction to your work, a short synopsis and your manuscript or sample chapters for consideration.
Ivy Books publishes original material from the Ivy family alongside selected independent work. The imprint is based in London, United Kingdom, and books are edited and prepared here.
